Dana Walker-Armantrading
1989-1992
One of the most versatile athletes in Randolph track and field history, Dana Walker-Armantrading excelled as both a thrower and a sprinter—a rare and remarkable combination. Competing in the shot put during the winter, and both the shot put and discus in the spring, she also trained in sprinting and hurdling events. In a historic feat, she became the only athlete in the 50-year history of the Morris County Championships to win both the 60-yard dash and the shot put, achieving the first-ever sprint/throw double.
Walker-Armantrading was a four-time county champion in both winter and spring track, a six-time sectional champion in the spring, and placed at the Meet of Champions four times. Her personal bests of 40'10½" in the shot put and 124'2" in the discus rank third all-time at Randolph.
A four-year varsity standout and 1992 team captain for both winter and spring track, she earned eight varsity letters and helped lead her teams to 10 of 12 major winter titles and an undefeated 12-for-12 in the spring, compiling a perfect 29–0 dual meet record.
