John Van Brunt
1977-2011
John VanBrunt, inducted into the Randolph Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017, served as Randolph’s Director of Parks & Recreation from 1977 to 2011, leaving a lasting impact on the community through his exceptional management and organizational skills. Over his 35-year tenure, he was instrumental in the development of key recreational facilities such as Brundage Park, Heistein Park, and Freedom Park. VanBrunt was a passionate advocate for youth sports, fostering programs in cross country, lacrosse, little league baseball, and travel teams across various sports, as well as summer camps. His dedication extended to collaborating closely with Randolph High School coaches and hosting county championships in soccer, softball, baseball, cross country, and tennis, significantly enhancing the athletic landscape of Randolph.
