1987-2024

For nearly four decades, Mike Lyons was a cornerstone of Randolph athletics, dedicating his time and expertise to football, wrestling, and track & field. Beginning in 1987, Lyons served as an assistant football coach for 38 seasons, helping the Rams compile a 238-142 record while capturing 11 conference championships and six sectional titles. He also played a key role in the wrestling program's success, helping guide the Rams to a 264-60 record, 11 conference championships, five sectional titles, and a Group Championship.

Lyons' impact extended to both winter and spring track, where his teams consistently ranked among the best in Morris County. As a head and assistant coach, he helped lead Randolph track programs to 43 county championships, 10 conference titles, and eight sectional championships, while earning Morris County Coach of the Year honors in Spring Track (2004) and Winter Track (2010). Through his leadership, dedication, and commitment to student-athletes, Mike Lyons helped shape generations of Randolph Rams and left a lasting legacy on the athletic program.
