  • A popular Latin teacher, the 1966 Aries Yearbook was dedicated to Mr. Rafter

It is with deep appreciation and great pleasure that we of the class of 1966 dedicate this Aries to Mr. William Rafter. As cross-country coach he displayed never-ending enthusiasm and guidance which helped the boys to become champions. In track his spirit always continued to encourage the team. As Latin teacher he made a ‘dead language’ come alive. However, Mr. Rafter was more than just a coach and teacher to us. He was someone to whom we could talk and bring our problems. His help was always
available to those who needed it. To you Mr. Rafter we say “Thank you.
