John R. Bauer

1972-2000

John R. Bauer was inducted into the Randolph Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018, recognizing his remarkable contributions to the athletic program from 1972 to 2000. As an assistant football coach from 1972 to 1990, he helped lead the team to an impressive six state championships and fourteen conference championships. He then took over as head football coach from 1990 to 2000, where he secured four additional conference championships and achieved the remarkable feat of 'The Streak,' a 59-game unbeaten run. Bauer also made his mark in basketball, serving as head coach from 1980 to 1986, guiding the 1981 team to the state group finals, and as an assistant coach from 1973 to 1979. Additionally, he contributed to the baseball program as an assistant coach from 1990 to 1992, showcasing his versatility and dedication to Randolph athletics.
