1990 Football Team

The 1990 Randolph Football Team stands as one of the greatest teams in New Jersey high school football history. Undefeated and unstoppable, they captured the Group IV Section 1 State Championship, marking the program’s fifth consecutive state title—a testament to their sustained dominance.

Competing in the tough Iron Hills Conference, Randolph once again emerged as the undisputed champion, securing their fifth consecutive conference title while continuing their incredible winning tradition. Their excellence was recognized beyond the local stage, as they were named New Jersey’s #1 team by the Star-Ledger and earned national recognition as the 8th-ranked team in the country by USA Today.

The team’s crowning moment came in what has been dubbed "New Jersey's Greatest Football Game Ever Played"—a dramatic 22-21 victory over Montclair in the state championship. That legendary win further solidified their place in history as one of the most resilient and talented squads ever to take the field.

The 1990 Randolph Football Team’s legacy lives on, not only through championships and accolades but through the standard of excellence they set for future generations.
