Tim Blanchard
1972-1973
In 1973, Tim Blanchard became the first Randolph football player ever selected to the Star-Ledger All-State Team—an achievement that reflected his exceptional all-around play and leadership on the field.
Blanchard contributed in all three phases of the game. At quarterback, he threw for 493 yards and ran for 246 more. Defensively, he led the team in tackles with over 100 from his linebacker position. He also handled punting duties, averaging 35.4 yards per kick.
As a captain, Blanchard helped guide Randolph to a conference title and a #2 ranking among North Jersey Group 2 schools. Over his final two seasons, the team posted a remarkable 16–2 record.
