Paul Albrecht
1984-1987
Paul Albrecht was one of the most dominant sprinters in Randolph swimming history, earning Star-Ledger All-State honors in both 1986 and 1987 for his performances in the 50m and 100m freestyle events.
A six-time Morris County champion in those same events, Albrecht set school and county records in the 50m freestyle (21.79) and 100m freestyle (47.30)—marks that have remarkably stood for over 35 years. He also holds the school record in the 200m freestyle with a time of 1:53.37.
Albrecht’s success reached the national level as well; he placed 8th at the 1987 National Championships. A two-time team captain, he helped lead Randolph to a 41–8 team record during his four-year varsity career, a winning percentage of .837.
