A versatile and impactful three-year starter, Pat O’Donnell excelled at linebacker, running back, kicker, and punter. He scored 144 career points while rushing for 833 yards and adding 223 receiving yards. Defensively, he tallied 83 tackles and scored 2 touchdowns.
O’Donnell played a pivotal role on the 1989 team that went 11-0, won the North 2 Group 3 State Sectional Championship, and extended Randolph’s legendary winning streak to 39 games—a Morris County record at the time. That season also marked the team’s fifth consecutive IHC title and a #4 state ranking.
