John Hayes
1981-1984
One of the most accomplished distance runners in Randolph history, John Hayes earned First Team All-State honors in both 1983 and 1984. He was a two-time Morris County Cross Country Champion and won three consecutive State Sectional titles from 1982 to 1984.
Hayes set the Randolph High School cross country course record and still holds school records in the 1600m and 3200m events for both winter and spring track. His teams posted a 30–7 record (.811) over his four-year varsity cross country career.
A model of dedication and endurance, Hayes earned 12 varsity letters across cross country, winter track, and spring track—leaving a lasting legacy on all three programs.
