Frank Sallo
1992-1994
A dominant two-way player for Randolph, Frank Sallo made an impact on both sides of the ball as a running back and linebacker. In 1994, he earned Star-Ledger All-State honors after rushing for 1,194 yards, catching 17 passes for 241 yards, and scoring 20 touchdowns.
On defense, Sallo was equally impressive, recording 93 solo tackles, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions—one returned for a touchdown—and 2 fumble recoveries during his senior season. Over his final two years, he totaled 2,300 rushing yards, 500 receiving yards, and 220 points, while adding 148 tackles, 10 sacks, and 6 interceptions on defense.
A team captain in 1994, Sallo was a key contributor to Randolph’s continued success, helping the program extend its nine consecutive IHC championships and compile a 29–4 record over three seasons, ranking 5th in the state his senior year.
