Dave Mitchell

1989-1991

A dominant two-way starter for Randolph, Dave Mitchell anchored the offensive line at guard while excelling on defense as an end and linebacker. A three-year starter, he earned Star-Ledger First Team All-State honors in 1991 after recording 95 tackles, three sacks, a safety, and three interceptions—including one returned for a touchdown. Mitchell was a cornerstone of a dynasty that captured five consecutive State Sectional Championships and seven straight IHC titles. The 1991 squad finished 9-1-1, extending Randolph’s state-record streak to 54 straight wins and 59 games unbeaten, while compiling an incredible 31-1 record (.969) during his varsity career.
