Chris Tummey
1974-1977
Chris Tummey made history in 1977 as the first Randolph basketball player named to the Star-Ledger All-State Team. A dominant force on the court, he averaged 20.8 points and 15.1 rebounds per game his senior season, while also recording 80 blocked shots—including a standout performance of 37 points and 22 rebounds in a single game.
Tummey led the Rams to a 16–9 record and a conference championship in 1977. A true all-around athlete, he earned 11 varsity letters across four sports—football, soccer, basketball, and spring track—and still holds the school record in the discus more than 45 years later.
He served as team captain during the 1976–77 season, leaving a legacy of leadership and excellence across multiple programs.
