Carolyn Nehls
1996-1998
Carolyn Nehls was a dominant multi-sport athlete whose impact was felt on the basketball court and the track. A two-time Star-Ledger All-State selection in basketball, she scored 1,307 career points, averaged 16 points per game as a junior and senior, and shot 82 percent from the free-throw line.
Nehls led Randolph in scoring and steals during her final two seasons while helping the Rams compile a 50-8 record over three years. She also excelled in spring track, winning conference, county, and sectional titles in the 400 meters. Nehls went on to play Division I basketball at UMass, where she was a four-year starter and team captain.
