Brian Giannini
1974-1977
Brian Giannini made history in 1977 as the first Randolph baseball player to be named to the Star-Ledger First Team All-State. Despite an elbow injury that limited him to designated hitter duties his senior year, Giannini delivered a record-setting season at the plate.
He batted .500 with 35 hits—both single-season school records—and added 16 stolen bases, another program best at the time. Though known as a strong pitcher earlier in his career, his ability to adapt and dominate offensively made his final season especially memorable.
A team captain in 1977, Giannini helped lead Randolph to a 16–5 record and one of the most successful seasons in program history.
