Ron Standridge
1983-1994
Ron Standridge transformed Randolph wrestling into a championship-caliber program during his 11 seasons as head coach from 1984-1994. Under his leadership, the Rams compiled a 124-52 record while capturing five conference championships, five district championships, and four state sectional titles. His crowning achievement came in 1993 when Randolph completed an undefeated 18-0 season and won both the State Sectional and Group Championships. Over the course of his tenure, Standridge coached 31 district champions, eight regional champions, and one state champion. For his accomplishments, he was named State Coach of the Year by the Star-Ledger in 1993.
Beyond wrestling, Standridge also made his mark on the football field and track. As Randolph's freshman football coach from 1983-1985, his teams posted a remarkable 27-0 record, and he later served as an assistant coach for the spring track program. Through his leadership, competitive spirit, and commitment to excellence, Ron Standridge helped elevate Randolph athletics and left a lasting legacy on the wrestling program.
