Bob Forte
1966-1977
Bob Forte, who coached wrestling at Randolph High School from 1966 to 1977, left an indelible mark on the program with an impressive team record of 115-28-2, achieving the highest coaching win percentage in Randolph wrestling history at .804. Under his leadership, the team produced 40 District Champions, 15 Regional Champions, and 4 State Champions. Notably, his teams won 36 consecutive meets between 1968 and 1971 and remain the only Morris County team to have ever defeated Phillipsburg, with a historic 26-21 victory in 1974. That same year, his team was voted #1 in the state by the Star Ledger. Coach Forte, who passed away on September 23, 2015, was remembered fondly by many of his friends. His legacy extends beyond his coaching career; he was a beloved family man and successful businessman. Bob Forte's contributions to Randolph wrestling and his community have left a lasting legacy, earning him a well-deserved place in the Randolph Athletic Hall of Fame.
