Cliff Back
1971-1988
Cliff Back, a distinguished figure in Randolph's athletic history, served as the Supervisor of Physical Education from 1971 to 1988 and later became the Athletic Director in 1990. A charter member of both the Morris County Football Coaches Association and the New Jersey Track & Field Officials Association, where he also served as president of the North West District, Back was instrumental in promoting sports and education in the community. He coordinated the RHS Drug Action Committee and the County Drug Abuse Committee, demonstrating his commitment to student welfare. His accolades include the Outstanding Football Coach Award from Morris County in 1968 and the establishment of the Cliff Back Invitational Track Meet in 1982, which honors his legacy. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the County Athletic Directors in 2006 and from the New Jersey State Track Association in 2000, solidifying his impact on athletics in the region.
