Steve Soderlund
1987
A key contributor on both sides of the ball, Steve Soderlund earned All-State honors in 1987 for his standout play at center and defensive end. Renowned as Randolph’s top blocker, he was especially effective in the shotgun formation and on long snaps, bringing precision and toughness to the line.
Soderlund helped lead Randolph to back-to-back North 2 Group 3 State Sectional and IHC Conference Championships in 1986 and 1987—seasons that launched the program’s legendary winning streak. The Rams finished 11–0 in 1987 and were ranked 3rd in the state following a #5 ranking the previous year. A multi-sport athlete, Soderlund also earned All-County honors in spring track for the shot put.
