Rob Tomaino
1978 – 1981
Rob Tomaino, a standout athlete in spring track from 1978 to 1981, was inducted into the Randolph Athletic Hall of Fame for his remarkable achievements. In 1981, he earned a spot on both the All State Winter and Spring Track Teams. Rob set a school record in the pole vault with an impressive height of 14-6 and claimed the Spring Track County Championship in the pole vault in 1979 and 1981, and the Winter Track County Championship in 1980 and 1981. Additionally, he was the Spring Track Conference Champion in 1979 and 1981, and the Winter Track Conference Champion in 1980 and 1981. In 1981, Rob led Randolph to its first County and Sectional Titles in spring track and contributed to the team’s victory in the Group Championship in Track & Field, marking Randolph's first Group Championship in any sport. With an undefeated four-year team record of 31-0, Rob's leadership as team captain in 1981 was instrumental in the team’s success. His exceptional accomplishments have left an enduring legacy in Randolph's track and field history.
