Andrew Adams

1994–1997

Andrew Adams was a standout distance runner during one of the greatest eras in Randolph cross country history. A three-year varsity runner, Adams earned 1997 Star-Ledger All-State honors and posted personal bests of 16:45 at Holmdel Park and a school-record 16:53 at Brundage Park.

Adams helped Randolph capture the 1996 Morris County Championship and three straight State Sectional Championships from 1995 through 1997. Over his three varsity seasons, the Rams went 25-2, finished 4th at the Meet of Champions, and were ranked among the best teams in New Jersey. A team captain in both 1996 and 1997, Adams was a leader on two of the most accomplished cross country teams in school history.

The 1996 and 1997 Randolph teams are considered among the program’s greatest, ranking 5th and 4th in the state under longtime cross country coach and Hall of Fame inductee Ted Loeffler.
