George Nelson

George Nelson was inducted into the Randolph Athletic Hall of Fame in 2021 for his significant contributions to local sports from 1974 to 1995. As the Chairman of the Recreation Committee, he was a strong advocate for Junior Recreation Programs, making a lasting impact on youth sports in the community. Nelson was involved in soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse, and he received the prestigious Helen Bauer Award for Community Service. He coached hockey and football, played a pivotal role in the formation of the Colonial Hockey League, and organized the "Learn to Skate & Play Hockey Program." His leadership as President of the Colonial Hockey League further exemplified his dedication to promoting athletic opportunities for young athletes.
